water

    Recently, I have been writing about only formal things, but I have nothing else to write.

      All animals and plants cannot grow up without water as well as oxygen. When I think about drinking water which is essential for us living, around a billion people are not able to use clean safe water now. From now on, world population will make the rapid increase. How can we obtain water and share it? Human beings cannot live without water any longer than one week. In Japan, almost all people don’t have difficulty in getting water. We can always use it when cooking, taking a bath, playing in the water, and so on. However, after thinking about it carefully, we depend on overseas water. It is `virtual water` that I think of. The food self-sufficiency ratio in Japan is around 40 percent. This means that Japan is a close connection with foreign countries through importing `virtual water`. We can think about importing foods as importing water. From this viewpoint, Japanese people must not be optimistic about water shortage. There are a lot of people who suffer from a lack of water right now at this moment. We should reconsider the way of using water.

It's been raining all day today.

      It rained all day today for the first time in a while. I like rain and love the sound of rain on the roof. When I was  a child, I used to like walking in the rain. Walking in the wet makes me feel that it's like I'm in another world.💧        That reminds me, it rains a lot on Yakushima. Do you know about that?? Local people of that island often say ''it rains 35 days a month!'' for a joke. It is said that it rains twice every 3 days on mountain part and once every 2days on coastal area. I really want to go to the mysterious island😝

Poverty and Hunger

          P overty and Hunger is closely related with each other. I think that it is very difficult for human beings to resolve these problems. The idea of people who live in developed countries is fundamentally different from that of developing countries. The former is that the more children you have, the poorer you are. However, the latter is that not having a lot of children means a shortage of labor. In other words, children  is  means of making money and life security after you can’t work.   Therefore, people living developing countries want more children.   However, it goes without saying that the more members of family are, the much money they need for living. I believe that this dilemma is the biggest problem about Poverty and Hunger. How can we help them improve their life?
